I was digging through some old emails and I came across a letter of recommendation from a former coworker who I still keep in touch with today. I like this one in particular he wrote — I do have a few, I’m not trying to brag. But I do believe in collecting as many as recommendations as I could — and I’ve made a point stating that. Even though there are some errors (which I corrected before I printed it out), it was simple, honest and flattering. Exactly what a letter of recommendation should be. And was from a colleague who knew me well enough to write one.
When you look over the letter of recommendations from your colleagues, will you be pleased with what they have to say about your work ethic and continuation? Will you want to add to your professional portfolio and show it to potential employers?
