The Traveling Exhibitions Manager will largely plan and design, construct and manage the museum’s pop-up and temporary exhibitions. S/he will work with the museum’s director, exhibition curators and designers, graphic designers, and the collections manager to develop pop-up versions of online exhibitions and other installations as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Museum Studies, Library Science or other related field (although not required)
Familiarity with animal protection history, humane education and human-animal studies
Previous project management experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Working knowledge of archival and collection handling and best practices
Ability to interpret and present material to a wide audience
An eye for design and display
Must be proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently
Must provide and use own laptop and computer programs
